Student Leadership
Mang'u forms leaders. Our student government, prefects and captains carry real responsibility for the daily life, discipline and spirit of the school.
Leadership, in the hands of students
In keeping with our motto — Jishinde Ushinde, "conquer yourself to conquer" — Mang'u gives its students genuine leadership. Prefects and captains run assemblies, dormitories, sport and student societies, and represent their peers to the staff and administration.
Mr. Mang'u
Each year the school celebrates Mr. Mang'u — the student chosen as best exemplifying what it means to be a Mang'u Man: character, discipline, service and all-round excellence. It is one of the school's most distinctive honours, and a reminder that a Mang'u education is about the whole person, not grades alone.
Leadership beyond the prefect body
Students also lead on the pitch, on stage and in the school's many clubs and societies.
