Junior Achievement

      JUNIOR ACHIEVEMENT CLUB .

Junior achievement club is basically an opportunity for young entrepreneurs to gain vital business knowledge. Each year a company is formed by members in form one to three to undertake the year’s programme. The members choose a business idea and after assessing its viability develop it into a project that can help them gain practical skills in business.
At the end of the year students take part in a national competitive expo where all companies show case their products. A team of highly experienced judges drawn from the corporate sector then choose the best placed companies a host of awards. The best company takes the Biashara award. The form 4s(former company members) are taken through a programme- Job shadow- where they get to meet with members of the corporate world to learn more about the job they usually do.
The companies normally have a patron (teacher at school) and mentors (from companies that sponsor J.A. Kenya.). They advice and guide the students in their daily activities. They are an indispensable part of the club.
